Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you brush—coat types, everyday use, shipping and returns.

How does the one-press button work?

Brush as you normally would. The pins collect hair. Press the button on the back and the pins retract so the hair comes off as a disc. Drop it in the bin. You do not pick clumps out of the bristles with your fingers.

Which pets and coat types is it for?

It works as an everyday slicker for dogs and cats with long or short coats. Use it for the loose hair sitting in the coat. For very thick double coats, keep an undercoat rake for seasonal coat blows—this brush is the five-minute tidy, not a full deshed.

Does it work on cats?

Yes. It is a slicker, so it pulls loose hair from cats as well as dogs. We built the listing around apartment dogs because that is who sheds on the sofa every day. Use it as a daily pass. It is not a substitute for a cat-specific undercoat tool on a thick double coat.

Is this an undercoat rake?

No. This is a daily self-cleaning slicker. It is for the loose hair sitting in the coat that ends up on the sofa, the car, and your clothes. An undercoat rake is a different tool for blowing coat on double-coated breeds. Goldens, Huskies, Doodles, and GSDs can still use this for the daily mess. It will not replace a rake during heavy seasonal shed.

How often should I use it?

For everyday shedding, start with a gentle five-minute pass. Adjust the frequency to your pet’s coat and comfort, and stop if the skin looks irritated. Regular short sessions are easier than waiting for loose hair to build up.

Does it replace professional grooming?

No. This is a daily maintenance slicker for loose hair. It does not replace dematting, breed-specific deshedding, trimming, skin care, or veterinary advice. If your pet has painful mats or a skin condition, speak with a groomer or vet first.

How long does shipping take?

We ship to the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. US and Canada typically take 7–15 business days; the UK and Australia typically take 7–20. Remote addresses can take longer. We email tracking when the carrier has the parcel.

What is the return policy?

Defective or wrong item: 30 days, we replace or refund. Changed your mind: 14 days if unused and in the original packing. You cover return shipping on change-of-mind. Full details are on the Returns page.
